Practice Run for Our Film

Yesterday, 27/01/11 me and the other members of our group done a practice run of our two minute thriller sequence that we are currently in the process of making. We meet up at the location which we have determined to use for our actual film and brought the props, camera and tripod to have a taster of filming. The reason being why we thought as a group it would be a good idea to do a test run of the thriler film is because we thought it would help us get used to our surrondings, the script, where to walk to where to stop etc. Also, for Tomi and Chiterlekhea to get used to using the cameras again.

Two Ident Ideas

In our group, we have decided to create two idents for our 2 minute thriller sequence, but we have come to the conclusion to use one and that is the black one.The red Ident was the first one we created to see how it would come out, then we edited it more and made a second version. We made out ident's by going on a software on the computer called windows movie maker. We typed in our Company name 'TWIST STUDIOS' then we changed the font, then the background, and then inserted the music, then added different effet, like the name of our company sliding form each side, and shadowed into the background.

Who, What, When, How and Why?

The deadline of our thriller sequence is creeping closer and closer, which is getting increasingly intense. Me and the other members within my group made decisions on the whereabouts of where the filming of this film will be taking palce, the decisions on the characters of who's playing who in the sequence. Roughly how long the film will actually be and what bits to cut out of the sequence when editing. Me and my main group mate Theresa Oneyemah have been making notes in our spare time writing down where, who, what, when and how were going to make this film.In conclusion, all in all myself and my group friends have made a decision on nearly everything for our thriller sequence so we know whats going on; so hopefully there will be no hiccups in the duration of making this film :)

Final Thriller Outcome

ONE
MISSED
CALL

Within our group we came up with our final idea for out thriller sequence, we thought this would be a great idea for a thriller. We came up with a name for out thriller and it was ONE MISSED CALL. The title makes you suspicious and makes you want to watch the thriller. Since we had a  good title all we had to do was actually come up with what would be in out thriller sequence.

One missed call is about two mates on their way homes form a long day. Its very dark and late in Dagenham and their only way home is through a dark, dirty, misty alleyway. Its time for the girls to make their seperate ways home. One of the girls live closer to home than the other, so she says make sure u call me when you get home. They go their own ways. The girl that has a longer way to go, she can hear footsteps behind her, but she isn't really worried, thinking its just kids behind her, and anytime she'd look back, they would disappear. They disappear into a little slide where they can all fit in. The footsteps would get louder and closer, and she would walk faster until they jump out in front of her and threaten her and make rude gestures at her. Suddenly they pull out a knife on her, all surrounding her, all blacked out, wearing hoods. She screams and they slice her in the throat. her other friend has realised that her mate didn't call her and it was getting late, so she called her. It went straight to voicemail. Back to the other girl, she laid there bleeding to death, her phone laid there ringing and it said on her phone ONE MISSED CALL. Now there is a twist in our thriller sequence. 3 of the boys ran off, and the boy that stabbed the girl was still there and picked up the phone. The audience thinking why is he picking up the phone and answering it, they think its the girls phone and he is about to run away with it and steal it. But he dropped it as they were attacking her. The person who was on the phone to him was the girls mate asking if he ha done. As in killed her!!!!!!! The twist in out thriller sequence was a twist. Just like Alfred Hitchcock did in his thriller films. That where we got out idea form.

My Ident

For out thriller Sequence we have decided to create an Ident which we are calling TWIST STUDIOS. The reason being that we have come up with this name is because our thriller sequence that we are in the process of making consists' of thriller codes and conventions.

Throughout out Media lessons, we have been studying on Alfred Hitchcock's thriller films. Most of them consist of ReD Herrings. They are a force lead, something that misleads expectations. And that why we have decided to create out Ident as TWIST STUDIOS.

Duration of Lesson 7/01/11

In today's lesson talked about the different Ident company/productions. An ident is usually used at the beginning of a film, introducing the name of the film, directors, costumes by, main characters and music, etc. i will uploading a film soon talkinG about why we have come up with the reason being naming out production TWIST STUDIOS.

Here are some famous Idents that are used in Todays Society.
